A bunch of feature questions

Hi

I am between this or the Livebox for an upcoming tour.

I just had a chance to look at the newest release.

I have a couple of questions, if anybody have answers I would greatly appreciate it!

  • You can only scope a full chain, not individual plugins, correct? Also could not find a way to safe individual plugins?
  • Is there a main bpm that you can slave all fx to?
  • Is it possible to have a midicontroller like a midifighter twister mapped to control plugin parameters?
  • Can I install any VST plugins? With my own licenses of course.

Thanks!

Hey Jon,

actually it’s not possible to scope individual PlugIns. I’m missing that feature so bad too.

You can’t set a main BPM.

I don’t have an answer to the midicontrollers.

You can install any VST3 but not everyone is supportet, There is a list which tell’s you about which one os working or which not.

Best, Chris

Tap tempo is on the roadmap, I guess that includes being able to set a tempo. But it’s not possible right now.

Regarding the Plugins:

In the List is of course not every Plugin that exists, but already alot.
I made the experience, that also other Plugins might work, but at your own risk. But i don’t know If the Waves Livebox has such a list?
In General, Plugins that can create some sort of offline license, might work.

But i also heard from the Waves Box that it has problems with some non-waves Plugins like clicks and artifacts…

Thanks for the replies!

I looked at the plugin list. Could not find Antares Autotune anywhere. Do any of you know if it works?

Hi JonTrier,

  • Currently not possible to recall safe individual plugins, this will be added in v1.5, this summer. TF-138 for reference. I will update the roadmap shortly.
  • As mentioned already, global tap tempo will be in v1.5. TF-133 for reference. For now you can program the tempo into cues but granted not a global one, but soon!
  • We don’t offer individual parameter control by MIDI, yet. It’s on the list but haven’t got a timeline for it yet.
  • Yes to any VST3 plugin, as long as you can install and license offline. The online database is a list of plugins we’ve tested but as you can imagine, there are thousands and thousands more.
  • Anatares does work from my testing, we haven’t added to the database yet as we were hoping for Antares to release offline installers. But you can easily copy just the ‘.vst3’ file from another Windows computer.
  • Whilst I haven’t tested it in the last couple of months, Antares Autotune Artist (live version of Autotune), it was reporting a latency of 59ms, this has been reported to Antares as a bug but I’m not sure if they have fixed it. When I measured, the actual latency was 2.3ms.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Elliot
