Automixer & Plugins not shown in list

Hello,

anybody of you have some automixer running on the fourier engine?
I tried Waves Dugan Speech, but after installing it didn’t show up in the Plugin-List.
Then i discovered on the Waves Website, that the Dugan Speech Plugin seems to be for LV1 and Waves Server Systems only.

So i tried WT Automixer, i was able to install to Plugin, it gets found during the Pluginsearch but it then doenst appear in the Plugin-List.

Anybody has the same Problem of Plugins not showing in the list?

Also in the compatibility list, WT Automixer is marked as “Contact the support” (which i already did).
Anybody uses some automixer?

Thank you for any reply!

Since a plugin can have one (mono) or two (stereo) inputs and outputs I doubt if an auto mixer would be useful.

Maybe down the road if multichannel processing like 5.1 are implemented multichannel auto mixers could be an option.
For now my guess is it’s not technically possible to have a plug-in chain with more than 2 inputs and outputs.

Hello Rob,

thank you for your reply

As far as i know, with the 1.4 version, multi-channel inputs/ouputs are supported.
So theoretically it would be possible to insert one Automixer Plugin into one chain.
But for example in a DAW the Plugin “WT Automixer” works the way, that you insert the Plugin in every channel you would like to have in the automixer and then the plugin somehow puts all of the channels together (though there are seperate plugin instances).

So i wonder what Fourier would do with that because i always thought, every Plugin (or every chain) it capsuled so it isn’t interfering with other chains in case of crashes etc.

But unfortunately i am not able to test it because the plugin is not appearing in the plugin list :frowning:

Hi all,

At this time, WTAutomixer is on our list of things to resolve, but cross-chain communication is not currently working, and the plugin not scanning correctly are bugs our team are working to resolve. We are exploring other auto-mix capabilities but there is no news on this at the moment, tracking with reference FA-630.

And yes, multichannel audio is supported up to 7.1 on version 1.4.0!

Hi MBelle92, as you’ve seen below, the Dugan is not yet available on Fourier. Hopefully that becomes an option in the future. I’m not sure of your current set up or needs for the Dugan. But if you are on a quantum system with Pulse software, try the Mustard Primary Source (MPS) in the mustard section of the channel. That has been my workaround for not having the Dugan. Takes a little finesse to make it not sound like a gate, but once dialed in it does the trick. But not a Dugan replacement. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello Jay,
Thank you too for your reply.

At the moment we are using a SD7 but we will get our Quantum 852 in 3 weeks.
Then i will definitely try the Mustard Source Expander.

In the meantime we bought 2 Digico AMM DMI Cards which we will Insert in the Quantum.

Somebody here has experience with the Digico Automixer? Some say the algorithm (of allen&heath/Digico) is not quite on the dugan level?

We are a music theatre and will use it mostly for dialogue scenes with omni headset mics.
