I have a DMI Dante64 card in a Digico Quantum (96kHz), directly connected to a Fourier Transform, 64 sample buffer. If I set the Dante latency on each device to 1ms, Dante Controller shows overruns, with an average delivery time of 892usec and a peak of 1.4ms.
Is this normal? I can’t hear any audio dropping, and it doesn’t report late delivery (showing 0/0) but I don’t like red lights!

Hi stebunting,
The red histogram you see does not actually represent a late packet in this instance (misleading, I know). We believe this to be a bug. If there are late packets, the “Late” counter on your Dante controller will increment.
Hopefully this clears things up!
Thanks,
Ross
Thanks Ross, does that mean the peak delivery of 1.4msec is also wrong?
The peak value is likely correct, but possibly from the negotiation of the subscription given it’s not observable on the histogram. It’s also possible it was compensated by the receive buffer, given there are no reported late packets or audio interruptions.
Thanks,
Ross
Ok good to know, thanks Ross!
