Fab Filter - Pro C3

Hiya, anyone had any issues with Fab Filter’s new Pro C3 compressor? Ive had it drop audio a few times. Im using with a Digico Q225. Seems to be when I solo the chan its inserted on. Bringing up the plugin on the digico screen makes it fall over.

on stereo chan I had it drop audio on one side and one a few mono channels Ive had it drop audio altogether.

I appreciate the plugin itself is very new so could be that but any options or thoughts would be appreciated.

I’ve been testing this plugin and experienced a minor bug, but otherwise it’s been a very stable platform. I was just wondering if you’d be able to send your plugin preset to [email protected] and I will be able to look into this for you.

Many plugins cause this behaviour on the Digico screen. All the UAD for example. I had to disable ‘solo disables insert’ on the Digico. Honestly I wish there was a mode that just let you do the snapshot integration without the other stuff.

Sorry to hear you’re running into these issues.
Out of interest, when you mention snapshot integration without the other elements, what kind of workflow are you ideally aiming for? If disabling “solo displays insert/output” is getting you close, it’d be great to understand where it still falls short. We would be keen to shape this into a workflow that’s more useful.

On the UADx side, we did address DSP spikes during teleport in v1.6.0 (TF-3130). If you’re still seeing issues with UADx plugins, could you drop us a note at [email protected] with a bit of detail on your setup? We’d like to take a closer look.

Hi Ross,

Thanks for your response. The only issue with disabling solo displays insert is that it also disables it for the internal Digico processing which is a bit annoying.

Oh OK good to know about the UAD stuff. TBH our show has been off the road for a few months so I’m probably an update behind. I look forward to trying it again soon.
