FPS of Plugin View

Hi all

I’m having this weird issue that I reckon is related to the FPS of the plugin views within transform.client. Plugins such as F6-RTA almost always do not show the RTA, nor do they show the correctional EQ curve - apart from some split seconds, leaving me to believe that this is an issue with the FPS of the plugin sandbox.

I am running the transform client through a VLAN (this might be an issue but then again I don’t think it should be - let me know otherwise).

Any ideas?

I regularly use F6 and can’t confirm that, the UI always works as smooth as all other plugins. Maybe it’s indeed something related to your network setup?

Not sure. The keyboard of Waves Tune (Realtime) is also blacked out, which is perculiar in itself. The issue seems to concentrate on Waves Plugins.

@RossPaterson any ideas?

Hi ntidbury,

Sorry to hear you are having issues with the RTA element of F6.
I have not seen this before personally.

Few things that would be good to know:

  • Does this happen reliably on one plugin instance or across many?
  • Does this occur in a specific showfile, and does it occur in a new showfile?
  • What version of F6 are you running? (This can be viewed by test running the plugin and clicking the manufacturer’s logo in the top left)
  • Do you have any other plugins installed with an RTA (soothe live?), and is the behaviour similar?

Using VLANs should have no impact, but maybe worth bypassing to rule this out.

Feel free to send your showfile to [email protected], and we can try recreate on our test servers.

Best,

Hi Ross

I’ll send you the showfile. To answer your questions:

  • It happens reliably across many instances
  • It happens regardless of new or existing showfile
  • I am running the latest F6 version (V16)
  • There are no other plugins with an RTA. I don’t think it’s limited to an RTA, as the keyboard in Waves Tune is also darkened out and does not react (similar to the behaviour of the RTA in F6).

For all that may come this way and have the same issue.

Support response:

We have recently identified that due to a compatibility issue with the latest Waves V.16 update, some Waves plugins are experiencing graphical issues on the transform.engine. We are working on a fix, but in the meantime, any new offline installers should be created with V15 plugins.

That solves that then. Thanks Fourier!
