Hey
When I activate the key for my Plugin Alliance plug-ins, the licence from the suite for the same brand of plug-in disappears and vice versa.
For example, Maag4 and ShadowHill.
Are you familiar with this issue? Is there a solution?

Hi FWilmet,
This is not behaviour we can reproduce here, is there any chance could contact [email protected]? If you could provide transform.engine Logs and transform.client Logs, our team would be happy to help with these issues.

Thx for your help.
Now, It works
What was the solution to your problem?
This behaviour is due to how Plugin Alliance handles licensing. They currently allow only one Plugin Alliance license to exist on a given machine (in this case, the transform.engine). When a new license is activated, it overwrites the existing one. On reboot, the engine automatically restores the transform.suite Plugin Alliance license to ensure it isn’t lost.
To use both your personal Plugin Alliance licenses and the transform.suite Plugin Alliance license simultaneously, please activate your personal Plugin Alliance license to a USB key. This ensures the engine continues to use the transform.suite license while your own plugins reference the USB-based license.
Hope this helps!

Hi Ross,
Thanks! Unfortunately, this is exactly the setup I’m using, but it doesn’t seem to work as described.
My personal PA licenses are activated to a dedicated USB key. After reboot, the transform.suite PA license is restored and the included Shadow Hills Compressor works, but my USB-licensed PA plugins show “Activation Required”.
If I reactivate the USB key, my personal plugins work immediately — but then the Shadow Hills Compressor from transform.suite becomes unlicensed.
So it seems that, at least on my engine, the two licenses are not being used simultaneously; activating one effectively replaces the other.
I’ve also verified that the USB device ID remains unchanged across reboots.
Is there anything specific that needs to be configured so the engine can reference the transform.suite license and the USB-based PA license at the same time?
Best,
Simon
Hi Simon,
We were able to get your issue resolved over on [email protected] zendesk!
For the benefit of other’s here on the discourse; the confusion stemmed from selecting the (default) Engine PC, when you need to select the USB drive to activate.
If a Transform.Suite user accidentally chooses activate “Computer: TF-…”, it will deactivate their plugins. Instead, you must click the dropdown menu and choose a USB drive* (Not SanDisk).
This is because Plugin Alliance plugins deactivate if there are 2 different accounts with the same plugin licensed on the same hardware.
Since our Tansform.Suite plugin bundle works by containing plugin alliance licenses on our account on your Engine, any time a user tries to activate their personal plugins on their Engine PC, all of their Transform.Suite bundle plugins will become deactivated. Rebooting the unit will reactivate the suite plugins them but will deactivate any others.
Activating to a USB stick circumvents this issue.
Problem solved, thank you very much for your help.
