Plugin Alliance Latency Behavior

Hey there, noticed a behavior on the PA plugins and wanted to see if it is normal. I do not have this issue with other plugins from other manufacturers. I am currently using stuff form Waves, UAD, Kazrog, Goodhertz, Slate, etc…

Most PA plugins have a an alternating DSP spike about 100us every 1s or so at 48k. The issue is also present at 96k. Most plugins have variable load of about 10-30us but it’s strange that some of the PA ones do it so much and regardless of the plugin. It also seems to be sub-manufacturer specific. Brainworx has the problem, shadow hills does not for example.

Vertigo VSC-2
Purple MC77
SPL PQ
Knif Audio Soma
Lindell SBC

more specific Plugin Alliance plugin occurred super high CPU consume.

We have noticed this behaviour in our testing and are already working with Plugin Alliance to investigate and resolve it (Tracking Reference TF-3738). The variation in plugins showing this behaviour is likely due to Plugin Alliance plugins typically being developed independently, then brought together under the PA brand.

I will update you we make progress on this issue!
