Does anyone use other Relab plugins (QuantX, VSR REV6000) besides the Lexicon LX480 V4 Dual-Engine Reverb plugin. I would like to know your experiences, if they work at all and are they stable?
The LX480 and the sonsig revA run on the engine. The other plugins have some issues as can be seen in the plugin database on the fouriersite.
However they say contact support, so maybe some of them may run under certain conditions (like using the 512 sample period)
I only use lx480 and sons revA so I don’t know details on the other plugins,
regards Rob
Hey Tobias,
Just jumping in here, we are currently working on a fix for the preset management plugins like this. Hoping for a release of it in January! TF-1769 for reference, if you want to look out for it in the release notes :).
Thanks,
Elliot
Hi @Elliot, I have tried the LX480, but the plug don’t like to run on 32/64 samples. You get noise / sound chops when adjusting parameters.
Is it something you will improve?
Hey Johannes,
This is something for the plugin manufacturer to improve. All plugins need an amount of time to process audio, depending on the period size used, depends how much budget you have available for audio processing. As you’ll find, some plugins are very lean whilst others need a lot of processing time. Plugin manufacturers rarely give minimum period sizes that are needed. Unfortunately we can’t control how much processing time a plugin needs.
We found that-
Lexicon LX480 V4 Dual-Engine Reverb- runs fine at smaller period sizes.
Lexicon LX480 Essentials- needs 512 period size to run.
It’s always worth reaching out to the plugin manufacturer for them to look into improvements.
Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Elliot
