Some more feature reqs :-)

Hi there

Here are some more feature requests that I (or our customers) had:
(1.4 is great! Waited for this so already some of the reqs are gone or adapted):

  1. Make it possible to un-patch a chain. e.g make a chain with no patch after it had one. In addition - make it possible to select outputs that are already in use in another chain, so choosing this (with a “sure?” prompt) will unpatch the previous chain.
  2. Better UX in patching (a patch page would be great). Also ripple, SEND+RET etc would be great.
  3. Size changes when opening a menu in a plugin -
I don’t know what the “best” solution for this, but I think that if it would be possible to make the resolution/size “stuck”, so some of the menu would be cut, and only the mouse movement would change the location of the screen - that could be nice.
  4. Something that could fix the previous section: Flown windows - it would be nice to have flown windows for a specific plugin.
  5. In Quantum console - make the integration window able to move to different screens.
  6. Saving a preset inside a plugin is currently impossible, since it is usually opens a new window to “Save As”.
  7. Add an option to “Save as Default” in a plugin - so the current state of the plugin will be the default state for any new instance of the plugin.
  8. Drag plugins between chains, and also ALT+Drag to copy, etc…
  9. Add a “selected parameter” fader. This is because sometimes the sensitivity of a parameter (ie a round knob for “Threshold” in waves) makes it that you need to grab and drag the encoder many times to lower it or raise it. When integrated with a Q console this could be fixed with touch-turn, but otherwise it could be hard.

Thanks again for the great update  The new grid is very nice and intuitive…

Hello, your number 9 is my number one! Cant believe still not “touch” friendly. For us non Digico users this is the biggest bummer now. Waves Superrack is very good in this regard, very friendly for touch screens… the fine tune slider you mention, the pop-up keyboard, Hot plugins, user keys, all on sight and easily reachable makes for a great and usable product when you add a touchscreen (also makes it more usable in different consoles). fingers crossed for a more touch friendly UI here.

I’d like to add the ability to copy and paste chains!
