Did anyone succeed to configure Steven Slate Trigger 2?
Installing the plugin itself via the offline installer works and the UI opens up as expected, however the plugin needs its sample library. I extracted the sample libraries on a folder on the desktop of the engines Windows environment, but when clicking “Select Base Dir” on the plugins settings page nothing happens. Maybe an offscreen file browser is launched in a modal window that I can’t see? If that should be the case, is there any way to access such windows?
Thanks for the reply, that seems like a sensible workaround since the root of the C drive is the default location.
I also thought of the option that I might be able to locate the plugins settings file in the hope that it is in a human readable format like XML and can be edited by hand… will investigate a bit next week
Update: Indeed, I was able to locate the Trigger 2 settings file in the typical location which is C:\Users\doppler\AppData\Trigger2 and as I hoped it contains plain XML
So this is how you can change the settings that are not working via the UI by editing the settings file
You can also switch the “Latency” setting by toggling the value for "detectorMode" between 0, 1 and 2 since that also doesn’t work via the plugin UI. I’d still recommend everyone to save a copy of the settings file before editing it just in case you accidentally mess something up
If you run ‘Steve Slate Trigger 2’ through the ‘Test Run…’ feature in Add/ Remove plugins, you will be able to access Windows pop ups that way to put samples in.
