What are your Baseline Temperature readings? Or what should they be?
With no plugins at Buffersize 64 and Dante Latency 1ms, I’m hovering in and out of warning temp around 84°c.
Loaded at ~20% it hovers around 85°c.
Normal?
If not, how to get it down? Fans seem to be working quite high already (assuming by the sound they make)
I was always surprised how hot the TFE unit was to the touch. But so far it did not crap out on me with “heatstroke” even on some of the more brutal summer days last year.
Yes. Same here. TFE is getting super hot and I need a 2UE external Fan Unit to get the heat out of the Doubledoor-Rack.
But have another problem after upgrading to 1.6.0: Plugin Host seems to be “lost”. There is no way to acces the Plugin Host and no way to install/upgrade TFE Suite to '26. Hopefully I’ll find a solution.
If your transform.engine is frequently getting into dangerous temperature, please:
Check the side exhausts have good outflow and are not blocked
Check the CPU cooler for dust buildup.
High operational temperature is expected to be around 85 degrees with a large plugin load, if you are frequently going above 90 degrees, we would recommend intervention. The CPU guarantees operation up to 100 degrees, so beyond that, we cannot confirm expected performance.
