Hey folks. I know the ball is more in UADs court than yours, but just wondering what the chances of support for UAD Spark plugins is in the near future? Do you need to bend their arm up their backs to allow offline install, or is there potential to support some limited online install on the engine in the future?
At the moment we unfortunately have no further update. The best and most appropriate method in our view is offline install. I’m sure you can understand all the reasons for not wanting to allow the internet onto the transform.engine. We really hope for a resolution, as we’d love to host them!
I use UAD plugins on my transform engine. You need to install them to a windows computer, copy the folder of the installed files to a usb drive, plug it into your transform engine and paste the folders in the same places on the virtual windows machine as they where on the pc you initially installed them to. Licencing works via ilok. Theres a thread somewhere in this forum that tells you the exact data paths, but I’m sure you’ll be able to find them yourself. The whole process took me just a couple of minutes.
