UADx Native Plugins installed

I’ve managed to install UAD plugins on the Transform.engine.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Install UA connect on a Windows computer that has internet.

  2. Install your plugins from UA connect

  3. Copy UA files and folders from the following locations:

    • C:/Program Files/Common Files/Universal Audio (Copy this folder)
      -C:.Program Files/Common Files/VST3 (Copy all UA vst3 files)
  4. Paste these to the same locations on the Transform.engine

Make sure that you have all your licences on ilok

Which license buy for using VST3 UAD plugins?

UAD Spark using ilok for licencing

Following! Gonna try this today.

Following,
Hopefully someone from Fourier (or UAD:)) will respond if they found or expect any issues with this workaround.

Did You succeed @chewittmusic?

I can confirm working flawlessly here! I would imagine this is going to be unsupported by either Fourier or UA but - working perfectly on my rack - Very cool. Made my fourier worth twice as much to me because of this.

How do you activate it? With a USB Ilok?

You need to activate your UAD Plugins in UA-Connect on your online PC or Mac. Within UA-Connect you can transfer your licenses to an iLok.
Transfer your Plugin-Data as in the description above, connect your iLok to the transform.engine and you’re good to go.

救命!!!想請問為何我的圖示顯示很模糊無法使用?

Hi Jason,

This means no license is detected by the plugin. Please ensure the iLok with the appropriate licensing is inserted. See here for more details.

Translation:

嗨,Jason,

這意味著外掛程式未偵測到許可證。請確保已插入具有相應授權的 iLok。更多詳情請見此。

Hey there. Also looking for support here. UAD plugins are taking ages to load (15-90s) and on the plugin test view they show up blurry (no license) - but once added to the session they eventually load.

When they were moved from my flash drive to the engine they also took a really long time to scan in. I followed the steps on the installation guide and after issues popped up - I uninstalled/reinstalled them.

The UAD plugins work on the windows PC I copied them from perfectly with 1-5s loading times. I confirmed that the windows machine was using licenses of my iLok flash drive (that I use for the Fourier engine) and not the ilok drive on the PC.

Is there something I’m doing wrong? Or is this normal behavior?

Hey Parker_Gann_Music,

Thanks for the detailed explanation, and sorry to hear you are having issues.

This is definitely not expected behaviour. UADx plugins should not be taking anywhere near that long to scan or teleport, and the blurry / unlicensed state in the plugin test view is also not normal. Typically plugins teleport nearly instantaneously.

We’d very much like to investigate this with you. If possible, could you please send us the engine logs to [email protected] from the period where the plugins are scanning and loading? That should give us some insight into what’s happening on the engine side.

Additionally, does this behaviour occur with every UAD plugin, or only specific ones?

Once we’ve had a look at those, we can advise on next steps and get this resolved for you.

Best,
