Hi there,

We’ve had some odd behaviour with the Control Network and Primary network on a transform engine that has been updated to 1.6.16.

When we added the updated Fourier into a larger network with separate control and Dante vlans we were able to ping the Dante portion of the transform via the control port.

After a period of soak testing the Dante of the Fourier eventually reported thousands of late packets and distorted audio. No other Dante devices fed from the same source experienced any issues.

Has anyone else found any issues with the new update? We are currently running the same system on another engine with the previous firmware to see if we can narrow it down to either the specific unit or a wider issue.

Thanks!

Hope everybody is fine over there…

Unfortunately, I have serious performance issues with the new update. 3 weeks ago, I was on the same production as now and used the TFE + Client with the versions before. Everything worked okay. Nothing was changed during our off-times, and yesterday we started again with the same production. Just came to my working place, started the engine, and installed the recommended update. After that, the performance was so bad. Every mouse click needs 1-3 seconds to be executed. Loading the file takes way longer than before.

After that, I tried to fix it by updating the os to Tahoe 26.5, but nothing changed.

As we’re in rehearsal since today, working with the engine is really annoying. I can’t be fast. Audio seems to be stable, but something is wrong with the transmission of data. Do you know the issue? Should I downgrade everything? Can you please help me?

I upgraded to 1.6.16 once update was complete i had lost all my plugins, i had to reinstall Transform Suite and Waves.
It know takes longer for plugins to load.
Anyone else encountering the same issue?

Hi,

We haven’t seen any widespread reports of this behaviour on 1.6.16 so far. Dante Embedded Platform hasn’t changed since V1.5.0, so I wouldn’t immediately expect this to be caused by a change in the Dante stack unless you were updating from V1.4.0 or below.

Please reach out to [email protected] with as much information as possible, including your network topology, Dante Controller screenshots, and any engine logs you can gather. We’d be happy to take a closer look and help investigate!

Thanks

Hi O-LabAudio,

Sorry to hear you have having issues.

Worth making sure you’re running the correct transform.client build for your Mac’s processor. Running the Intel (x86) build on an Apple Silicon (M-series) Mac via Rosetta can significantly impact performance and responsiveness.

It is also fine to run an older transform.client version with a newer transform.engine version as a work around while we investigate. If you’d like to test this, please completely remove the current client version before installing the older one to ensure there are no conflicts between installations.

I have spoken to support and liaise with them to get you sorted.

Thanks,

Hi rajpin9,

As a first step, could you please try rescanning all plugin licences and collections?

In transform.client, go to:

Library → Add/Remove Plugins → Rescan Plugins

Then perform a full rescan of both plugin licences and plugin collections. A full collection rescan has resolved plugin discovery issues in the past where installed plugins were not appearing correctly.

The plugin scanner documentation can be found here:

If the issue persists after a full rescan, please reach out to support with logs from both the engine and client.

Thanks,
