Hey there,
since I’m encountering massive performance problems on my transform engine
I would like to ask you guys, if anyone has experiences with this kind of plugins?
The situation is as follows:
I’m running several instances (ok … it’s 16 of them … sounds ridiculous reading it out loud … but anyways) of Waves Clarity VX pro to clean up voices of moderators from background noises in a crowdy and noisy enviroment for simultanious live-streaming events (so the latency is not that much of a problem).
In theory (as proven in our tests) the engine could handle 18 of them in total.
Since the plugin is showing unpredictable core usage (someting 25% of one core, sometimes up to 75 %), it’s randomly overflowing serveral cores, which is concluding in distortion noises obviously.
I already talked to support about this, but right now there’s nothing they can do about it, since Waves is only saying: This PlugIn is not meant to be used liked this …
Plus: The Core-Isolation feature gets in way, cause Clarity VX is using serval core to share the CPU load …
So, my Question would be, if anyone you have experiences with Voice-Isolation plugins running on the engine, which show more or less the same effects, but run much more reliable?
Maybe CEDARs ScreenVox or something similar …
